Ukrainian Sambo Championship
In early June, in Karolina-Bugaz village (Odessa Region), the Ukrainian Sambo Championship was held among the youth born in 2001-2002. The competitions were attended by 372 athletes from 20 regions of our country. Lugansk Region was presented by the team of 16 athletes among which there were 5 students from Rubezhnoye (Youth Sports School No. 1 and ZenithYouthSportsSchool), who won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Awardees of the Ukrainian Championship were:
2 position – Polina Salenko (Youth Sports School No. 1);
3 position – Angelina Pashchuk (ZenithYouthSportsSchool);
3 position – Дарья Закопайло (Youth Sports School No. 1).
The male part of our team competed less succesfully:
7 position – Slobodan Glishich (ZenithYouthSportsSchool);
9 position – David Tarasyuk (ZenithYouthSportsSchool);
9 position – Danil Zhuravel (Youth Sports School No. 1).
The athletes were trained by the coaches Aleksandr Korotkiy (Youth Sports School No. 1) and Roman Korotkiy (ZenithYouthSportsSchool).
